At Rising Dawn Ceramics Studio, we welcome anyone and everyone to try pottery. This is a place where mistakes are made, imperfections are welcome, and any skill level can learn and grow.
We are all about digging into creativity with clay. It's our way of molding more than just art; it's a community coming together, getting down and dirty with the joy of making.
All of our classes are located in our Fargo studio at 307 Main Ave.
*We are located right across the street from Cenex and our door is on Main Ave. There is a free parking lot on the east side of the building.
Sip and Sculpt at Junkyard Brewing
Join us for a fun and beginner friendly pottery class at Junkyard Brewing on July 30th from 630-730pm where you'll sculpt and decorate your very own catch tray while enjoying a Junkyard brew! (each ticket includes one pint of beer)
Fruit Plate Class
Craft a cute fruit plate in this juicy class. All skill levels welcome. You will build a plate that is the fruit of your choice, add texture, and apply the color all in one night!
Intermediate Wheel Throwing Course
Elevate your throwing skills and large how to go BIG! This course will meet every Wednesday for 6 weeks and will cover:
Week 1-Coning when centering clay & Throwing with larger amounts of clay
Week 2: Serving Bowls
Week 3: Lidded Jars and containers
Week 4: Closed Forms
Week 5: Stacked vessels
Week 6: Glazing with a flux & sgraffito
Cute Catch Trays
Make the cutest catch tray ever! In this class you will choose a fun shape (or come up with your own) to make your tray, and then you will paint on a design in the same class! These are so customizable- make them cute, personalized, for a friend, raunchy, or whatever!
Checker Mug Class
Join us in taping and painting your own checker mug design! You will be provided a hand thrown mug my Rising Dawn Ceramics on speckled clay and we will walk you through the steps on how to create crisp, colorful, and modern patterns on your mug. They will be clear glazed and returned to you within one week!
Funky Mug Class
Get Funky in our Funky Mug Class! Elevate a simple wheel-thrown mug by adding personalized handles, unique decorations, and playful splashes of color. Join us for a pottery session where you can unwind, create, and enjoy the process of making something uniquely yours.
Platter Class
Create a serving platter for your next dinner party! You will make a slab built platter, attach handles and a foot, and select your glaze!
Intro to Wheel Throwing
This is a 2 hour class where you will learn centering, raising walls, and how to trim.
This class is recommended for ages 16 and up.
Wheel Throwing Course
We'll embark on a six-session journey filled with clay and creativity! This course is designed for anyone eager to dive into the wonderful world of pottery, whether you're a total newbie or just looking to brush up on your skills.
