At Rising Dawn Ceramics Studio, we welcome anyone and everyone to try pottery. This is a place where mistakes are made, imperfections are welcome, and any skill level can learn and grow.
We are all about digging into creativity with clay. It's our way of molding more than just art; it's a community coming together, getting down and dirty with the joy of making.
All of our classes are located in our Fargo studio at 307 Main Ave.
*We are located right across the street from Cenex and our door is on Main Ave. There is a free parking lot on the east side of the building.
Beginning Ceramics Course
Beginning Ceramics spans 6 sessions and is tailored for ages 16 and up. This class provides a well rounded understanding of ceramic arts through hand building and wheel throwing techniques. This class will dive into pinch pots, coiling, slab building, wheel throwing, glazing, and attachment methods, with extra time for practice and project development.
Pinch Pot Serving ware
This beginner friendly class is a relaxing approach to pottery. Using simple pinch pots and attaching them together however you desire, you will create a serving tray that is as cute as you are. During this class you will build your piece and pick out a glaze color. We will take care of the rest! Your dish will be ready to be picked up in 2-3 weeks and will be microwave and dishwasher safe!
Junkyard Sip and Sculpt
Join us for a fun and beginner friendly pottery class with Rising Dawn Ceramics on September 25th from 630-730pm where you'll sculpt and decorate two dip bowls while enjoying a Junkyard brew! (each ticket includes one pint of beer)
Platter Class
Create a serving platter for your next dinner party! You will make a slab built platter, attach handles and a foot, and select your glaze!
Intro to Wheel Throwing
This is a 2 hour class where you will learn centering, raising walls, and how to trim.
This class is recommended for ages 16 and up.
Wheel Throwing Course
We'll embark on a six-session journey filled with clay and creativity! This course is designed for anyone eager to dive into the wonderful world of pottery, whether you're a total newbie or just looking to brush up on your skills.
Fall Plate Class
Get into the spirit of the season with our Fall Plate Class! Perfect for beginners, this class offers a fun, creative way to celebrate autumn and Halloween.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to design and build a plate featuring a cozy pumpkin or spooky ghost. Your pieces will be fired, glazed, and returned to you in a few weeks!
Best for ages 10 and up!
Little Ghost Class
Get spooky and join us in crafting a little ghost! This 60 minute class is kid friendly if they have an adult helper!
Fall Dip Bowls Class
Craft some cute dip bowls with a fun theme! In this class you will make 3 dip bowls out of clay using the pinch pot method. Next, you will paint on designs of your choice to the inside of the bowl! These designs can be fall or Halloween themed, or not! Your art, your choice!
Illuminated House Class
Unleash your creativity in this 90-minute class as you build your very own ceramic illuminated house! Using slabs of clay, you’ll construct a charming cottage, complete with cut-out windows that will let the warm glow of a tea light shine through.
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced potter, our step-by-step guidance will help you create a unique piece that adds a cozy ambiance to any space. All materials are provided—just bring your imagination and a desire to craft something magical!
Lace Mug Class
Join us for a fun 60-minute slab building pottery class where you’ll create a beautifully textured lace mug! Using slabs of clay, you’ll learn to shape and add intricate lace patterns to your mug, making it a unique piece of functional art. Perfect for all skill levels, this class provides step-by-step guidance and all materials needed. Bring your creativity and leave with a stunning mug to enjoy your favorite beverages!
Winter Plate Class
Join us for a cozy, one-hour ceramic plate-making class! Choose from three festive designs: a snowflake, a pine tree, or a star. This class will guide you through the process of shaping and adding texture to your chosen plate shape.
